• The Weed and Seed Program is a strategy within the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office that focuses on the development of community-based initiatives. The Weed and Seed is an innovative and comprehensive multi-agency approach to law enforcement, crime prevention, and community revitalization.
• Reduce drug and alcohol abuse
• Community policing to strengthen law enforcement and citizen involvement
• Outreach intervention and prevention treatment (two safe havens)
• Neighborhood re-vitalization
