Welcome to the Plaza de Espaņola . Located in the heart of Northern New Mexico, the Plaza de Espaņola offers the most complete picture of Northern New Mexico's history, art and culture. Whether museums, performance spaces, or areas for quiet contemplation, the Plaza de Espanola holds all that is unique about the area. Visit Today!

  • Hours: The Bond House Museum is open Monday-Friday 12:00 noon-4:00 pm.
  • The Mision Museum is currently open by appointment only. Call 505-747-8535
  • Fee: There is no fee for either Museum.

    New Gift Shop! With all local artists featured, you can purchase items such as Retablos, prints, jewelry, mirrors, cards, and snacks! Open Wednesday-Friday Noon to 4 p.m, and Saturday 11a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Plaza de Espaņola Mission and Convento - Visit a replica of Don Juan de Oņate's first church that was built in 1598. web site
  • The Bond House was added to the State Register of Historic Places in 1978, and on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. In 1982, the San Gabriel Historical Society opened the house as a museum with its first exhibits. web site
