The Richard L. Lucero Recreation and Aquatic Center is committed to providing a healthy recreational outlet with programs and facilities for the entire family. The Center is comprised of a number of facilities including a swimming pool, a weight room, a gymnasium and the Oñate Room. There are several programs offered for both children and adults including school basketball practices, Tae Kwon Do Karate lessons, the National Dance Institute, Zumba Dance, co-ed and women’s volleyball, co-ed youth and adult soccer, and the Campeon Boxing Club. Swim lessons and Lifeguard classes are taught at the Aquatic Center (as well as at the Penny Roybal Aquatic Center). During the summer a Youth Summer Camp is offered. In addition, both the gymnasium and Oñate Room are available for meetings, dances, concerts, and parties.

Monday: 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Tuesday: 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Wednesday: 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Thursday: 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Sunday: Closed

Gymnasium Programs:

Noon to 1:00 PM - Pick-up basketball games and City Employee recreation time.
4:00 PM to 5:00 PM - School team basketball practices.
5:30 PM to 7:00 PM - Tae Kwon Do Karate (Monday to Thursday).
